Might as well consider getting the inlet/oulet side of the head checked for flatness while you are at it.

Just a quick tip - if you haven't already done so, make sure that you tap out the M6 threads for the Water pump bolts - it looks like the long one has a broken thread in the 'ole and you don't want to find out later on when the Timing Cover is all nicely bolted on, etc. Same goes for all the M8 Threads for that matter.
Rob, I had the tensioner 'pop-out' like yours when I did a head-off job once. I got it back in with patience and 2 long screwdrivers, I was so lucky!
I love the Kameari little gear cog that replaces the OEM chain tensioner, soo much better and no popping off.
Did you torque to spec?
