Our Fight with the DVLA is finally over!!!
I purchased the car in 2018 from the USA and had it exported to the UK. (When it arrived we did a lot of research)
it was a right state but rust free. I have put a lot of Time into restoring it back to its original state and colour. when it
was exported from Japan to the USA in 2014, it was down as a 1978 Datsun 280z.
Due to USA regulations the owner had changed the engine to the 2.8L but included the 2.0L with it.
I received it with a none running L20 in it.
we found out it was actually a genuine RHD 1975 Nissan Fairlady Z. L20 Engine
Unfortunately with months of waiting for Zclub to verify my car, they where unable to get any proof that the DVLA
would accept.
and looking like it would get registered as a 1978 280z.
so we had to do a lot more research numerous emails later.
we have WON!!!
pic of day we collected it from Southampton docks. still have some interior to finish but i can drive it at last.

Congrats. As has been well documented, dealing with DVLA is not an easy job. It took me months to correct a minor error on my v5 and that was in the days when Nissan Japan still provided a confirmation letter of manufacture.

It's a nice car but I am surprised you are not getting any rubbing issues with those wheels. Unless your suspension has no give in it, I would have thought that the potholes and speed bumps on UK roads would make the tyres hit the arches. I wouldn't want to see that lovely paintwork destroyed.
