Just a quick hiya and introduction from Somerset. I’m getting a bit long in the tooth now and been a big fan of the S30 for a while so thought it about time to get one. I’m a recently retired garage owner and just imported a fairly rust free but slightly dented 280Z from California. It was apparently parked in a garage many years ago and not been run since. Short version of the story is remove and clean tank, repair fuel pump, etc, etc and start. Horrendous knocking and on investigation found number one big end bearing completely missing with damage to con rod, crank and bore. Anyway, repairs are underway and hope to have it running soonish. I’m sure I’ll need plenty of advise and some parts along the way so look forward to chatting/meeting some of you.

Apologies about the poor photos, I’m a better mechanic than photographer. 😂
when I got it, it had the massive US spec front and rear bumpers which I removed. I’ve just got to drill the spot welds to remove that trim piece. (But I’m sure you knew that🤣😂)
