Hi every one been out in the car today:driving: and noticed an annoying vibration:confused: somewhere on the car it wasnt a filling comming out of your teeth vibration, it is difficult to say where it came from but appeared to come from the prop dif area it appeared at about 70 ish and disapeard at past 100 mph :devil:but seemed more prominent once i had driven hard, could it be the dif mount which looks ok but is old, or could it be a mis-alined propshaft i ask because i have just moved the engine further back and fitted a R200 dif, also had propshaft shortened and balanced, but i have been under the car checked every thing nothing loose, every thing looks good, does any one know how to check for propshaft alignment, ive spun the prop while looking at it and it seems to spin true obviously spinning at 4-6000 rpm is different but does not look out of align, could a bad geabox mount cause this problem, the problem may have been here for a long time but due to the car handling badly ive never driven it at high speeds, but now car is handling better due to swapping the suspension i have been testing it out and noticed this little annoying problem, if it was a prop alignment problem would it be there all the time and get worse as the speed increases, at low speeds 30 ish not really evident unless just thrashed car then more noticible:confused: any tips from people who have had the same or similar problems.

Could be any of the above
Take it the wheels are 100% balanced before you try anything else?
Who done the prop, diy or pro?

Wheels are balanced fine, prop was shortened pro and balanced, does not feel like a wheel wobble am ordering a new dif mount to try that first.

Ordered a new dif mount from Mr F, had a good talk about v8 zeds mike says the problem could be that the propshaft is twisting with the 300lb + torque of the engine, he advised that this happened to himself when he had a chevy v8 zed with a jag propshaft, i inspected the propshaft to check for any symptoms of movement twisting, only thing i saw was that the front to rear u joints were very slightly out of line, whether it was welded this way or has twisted slightly i dont know, ill ring the propshaft clinic up tommorow and ask about beefing up the prop, in case the dif mount has no effect on improving the vibration.

car has new bearings on all wheels, just got my new dif mount from MJP, ordering a new gearbox mount tonight, if after installing both of these its still the same ill send the prop away for strenthening and balancing again, if/when i get this car running right ill have to donate to several charities as ill not know what to do with all the spare money that ill have.

I dunno if your running the same wheels all the way round. If you are try swapping the fronts to the back and see if the vibration changes. Then swapping left to right if they aren't directional. I had a similar thing on my old Frontera. Turned out to be a knackered tyre which while balanced at speed caused a vibration throughout the entire car.

I am running the same tyre all round 225-50-15, i changed the dif mount today was well knackered starting to break up, im waiting for new gearbox mount to arrive, using a TR6 gearbox mount, hole spacing a perfect match for the t5 gearbox, if after installing these 2 items its still the same ill swop the wheels and try it.

Are the tyres running true? I had tyres in the past which moved up and dowm when the wheels were spun.Needless to say I dumped them.
hope the diff mount fixes the issue

i havent checked the tyres yet, they are my next job, after fitting the gearbox mount ill take car for a spin to see whats happening, bump steer spacers and other items should arrive tommorrow, damn tax man hit me again import tax £30, what will be next a fart tax then everyone will be eating bran flakes.
