Door skin

 I know, but it is a particularly good bodyshop thankfully....:D

And there isn't much other choice really is there??

Just out of interest has any one else (Morbias or Wyn) actually used them yet and how where the results if you have?

Appart from cutting the rear end of an American car you just need to find someone who can scratch build them. Yes I do know someone who can but not willing to pay the price. So as you say what other choice do we have.

Exactly, over the past year I've spoken to a few US owners who have been offering rear quarters and they have either wanted big money, or not been prepared to ship to the UK.
MSA advertise them, but I suspect that they are just the same as the ones I've got, and even they couldn't supply for 2/3 months.

I used to know a great guy who could fabricate stuff like this, he was going to make me a front spoiler (like the FRP one I now have) after christmas in 2010 and unbelivably died in an accident on New Years Eve that year, and his kind are now very hard to find.

I've already welded them onto my car and to be honest they aren't too bad at all; you'll only really see that part of the car from a distance anyway! I'll try to get a photo but it's kind of awkward the way my car is sitting in the garage. Also I trimmed the panel so the top edge curves up as it goes around the back of the car, it helps to hide the seam.

It looks kind of uneven in the picture the way the light is hitting it but it's just where I went over it with a strip disk, it makes it look like it's welded on out of line but it's actually not, honest!

Did you use the existing rear valance or was that a new part too?

I have wheel arch repair panels, lower quarters and a valence on the way to me - just need to find the money to have it done now :D

It's a new rear valance supplied by Mike F, I think I got all the welds in the correct places as when I got the car it didn't have the original valance on there for reference, just a piece of dented sheet metal tacked on and filled over .

The new panel looks so much better! Unfortunately the fabricator only had jigs for a 240z so I had to cut out the bumper mounting points and weld them back in the right positions for my car.

By the way, have you checked your inner arches? I was also originally going to replace my outer wheel arches but then I realised the edges of the inner arches were completely gone! Your car looks very tidy though so I would think it's in much better shape.

So my pair of lower rear quaters turned up today a little rough and ready but better than nothing. :D

Lower rear valance next on the list..

My valance arrived yesterday from MSA, cost an extra 40 quid customs but I think I now have all the bits needed

No probs Maxim, shipping was 66 dollars and customs was 42 quid. Struggled to get one over here so was happy enough to pay it.
