Now then, what exactly are you getting at by posting this in the 'Non Z related' section?!! ;)

Cheers,
Rob

I can't work this out
It's an ebay section on the door, so I posted an ebay link
no matter :D

yuk - a tarts' mobile ! And I notice that there are no close ups of the sills etc !

Another example of why 260 2+2s are dying off !

Why does no close ups of the sills etc make it an example of why 260 2+2 are dying off:confused:

Must agree with your Yuk though about the light yellow colour on the side, the yellow the bonnet looks good though.
Why anyone would chose a tarty colour simular to that is beyond me:devil:

Looks clean to me
Sure you would need to go see it 1st b4 a bid, but it looks good.
part from that spoiler ;)
First time I've seen that roof style on a zed.

And just whats wrong with Yellow Mr Burns?

As it happens my first 260 2 + 2 was in the same colour scheme 411 (iirc) yellow with a black vinyl roof which was as far as I know standard.

And I think I have seen a blue one with a similar roof but that is still only three so not exactly common.

never said there was anything wrong with the yellow as it shows on the bonnet just the wishywashy shade of yellow that shows on the side and i agree with what Sean rightly says that the colour on the side makes it look like a Tarts Car:rolleyes:

The roof line has been seen quite often and if it wasn't vinyl it was painted - not bad though !
If one calls that light yellow - what does dark yellow look like ?

It's the rear spioler and Datsun still written on the rear hatch but above all the colour coordinated wheels that look tarty - as for the colour scheme, it takes all, right Colin ?

Seperate line and subject (for the hard or understanding English who live to the west of London) - because it looks (to me) like a tarted up for sale car, it reminds me of cars, predominantly 2+2s as they are valued less (even though they might not deserve it Grolls), that are 'raced up', 'jazzed up' whatever you want to call it, to impress the same people who bought the car in the first palce to buy it and drive around in something that they think looks the part on a shoestring budget !
Result , In 5 years time we see the same cars being sold as projects and a year later scrapped for parts (if they're lucky) !

Hence - "Another example of why 260 2+2s are dying off !"

They should be cared for not made up to look like some tarts' window-box !

Sazme went for 240Zs in the '80s, same for 280s now and soon to be Z31s ! Invest now for the future - this Christams don't buy your kid a cuddly bear with genuine certificate of authenticity denaoting a limited production run, instead buy him or her ZX !

Come on Chaps Its a ZED some one has spent there hard earned cash on this it might not be what you would have done if it was your car but "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" lets not burn our bridges with other ZED owners as the new owner might want to join our club one day !!!!!!

The owner of this example IS a Z Club member and has participated in a number of Z Club show events (one of particular note was the first csma show with Nissan at Brands Hatch). The car is immaculate and meticulously maintained and if the owner views this site, I think he would feel that the comments being bandied about are both unfair and hurtful. Some of you should stop and think before commenting in areas where you don't have a full complement of information. Look at the photos - not many faults to be seen, so why criticise it for something you can't see? I'd be prepared to suggest that the sills are as solid and as immaculate as the rest of the car, but I can't be sure. However, I do know the restoration history of the car. The wheels are gold, not "colour co-ordinated". The modifications are correct to period - maybe not your personal taste, but nothing that couldn't be easily changed.

I may not be the world's greatest 2+2 fan, but if you want one, there are not many better than this (and no, I'm not on commission!).:S30: :)

Well said ^^^^ that Man. If this car was mine, I would be "quite cheesed off" to see the comments posted by fellow Z Club members:eek:

" one club, all the cars."....

Still yuk and you owe me some quotes if you've time to criticise my criticism :)!

Question, if the owner is a current paid up member why hasn't he placed the ad on this site or asked an internaut friend to do so ?

Gold wheels and yellow.....and that rear spoiler ! No Mike, if ever the Z world can crawl out of the cheapie 'tuning' rubber stamp that it has worked hard for years to achieve, then cars like this need to be cared for, I'm not a purist, you know that !

As for the owner, I'll take his knocks if he hits back and maybe the car was like that and what he's done is to keep it in the state he found it except for restoration where necessary. Owning something of arguable taste is not proof that the owner created the car !
