Coolant Temp Sensor Thread Size?

Hello all,

As per the title does anyone know the thread size on the coolant temp sensor?

Trying to fit the Autometer sender unit (1/8th NPT) into the hole, none of the adapters provided fit. I assume the coolant housing is also NPT thread?

I am not sure but I fitted the auto meter temp sender but I can't remember how I did it but will have a look tonight and let you know.

It’s definitely metric. Either 10mm or 12mm and fine thread.

I fitted mine to the water pipe side to match one of the adapters but I think it had been tapped out much bigger that what should have been there.

Thanks all, I found something on a forum in the states that says its M16 x 1.5. Vernier's indicate this could be right.
