Hi All,
My standard 240z engine / carb set up has developed a habit of spewing clear smoke on start up, when the engine is warm.
I first noticed it after a 45 min run. Having stopped for a coffee for around 20 mins, smoke appeared when restarting the engine.
Today I have tried to replicate it and have been carefully checking all levels and temps in different circumstances e.g. stop / start traffic. Everything was fine until once again I re-started the engine after a 20 minute break. It lasts for a few seconds and then clears.
The smoke is emerging from the airbox via the air filter and carbs. The airbox does have a crack but I can't imagine that has anything to do with the issue.
Any clues as to what could be causing this and potential solutions would be gratefully received.
Thanks, Nick.
