I think I have an image of the tool you need but you can make one out of a flat piece of bar and drilling some holes in it to line up where the master cylinder fits. Will post up the image later as I am at work at the moment as there should be one in my Nissan workshop manual

I did this recently, the way I did it was to put nuts on the threads (to protect the threads) of the master cylinder side and put that in a vice. I then tapped out the tabs so that I could twist the back off anti clockwise. It is a frustrating job first time round but when I did the second booster it took a lot less time. The key is to get a great deal of leverage on the back plate (the one that goes against the bulkhead). If you use the tabs to open it up they won't last long so use the 4 threaded bolts to twist.

This is a different booster but exactly the same principle, lot of good pics and info in this thread:

Pmac had made one and it was fairly big. Fairly sure it was longer than 2ft as you need it for leverage.
