Hi Chaps,
Currently my air ducting joints are fixed using (20mm x 3mm approx) foam stripes (non adhesive), glued at one end, wrapped around the joint and glued at the tail end. Pic below
Not sure if this is original method of fixing? It looks it considering it has virtually disintegrated
I've thought of using neoprene rubber/foam self adhesive tape which is available at the same width, but wondered whether there was any reason why non adhesive foam was used originally. i.e.the introduction of any creaks over bumps if using self adhesive strips or ducting tapes etc?
I'd like to keep as close to original as poss, any pointers to a proper fix please Chaps?
