hi girls

sorry not been on here for years mainly due to not having a z anymore!!!

i went GT6 mk1 then GT6 mk 1 then nothing.

lovely looking car but way too small and scarey to drive.

needed a drumkit so am currently classicless and living in brighton!

SO the reason for this post is i bought a 98 nissan serena MPV and noticed an oil leak at idle (not whilst driving,.....is that normal!!??) i think its comin from the inlet manifold bolt pictured. why does it only leak on idle?!?!?!

am also thinking of veg. oil instead of diesel anyone ever done it?

ta all .. si

p.s. is DJ still here??

veg oil should be ok but you might need to check if the fuel pump is self lubricating or not as modern oil pumps sometimes seize up when using veg oil with it not being as oilly as diesel.

What makes you think it's worse on idle? Could be being blown elsewhere when the car is in motion, unless you have a very small person under the bonnet confirming otherwise:D
That bolt looks more like a cyl/head bolt to me. Suggest you clean up all the surrounding areas to try and pinpoint exactly where it's coming from.

Could be the rocker gasket ... just pooling around the bolt highlighted ... assuming thats the silver rocker head next to it.
