How long has it sat in bare metal ??grolls said:it certainly looks good, get the car in etch primer fast including all the little voids or it will rust like fury, i'm sure you know that already.... looking forward to seeing the progress and the end result! well done!
Too long now - some surface rust is apparent but it sands off with minimal effort - there is another shell there which has been dipped but has a lot more surface rust than mine. The plan is to do all of the welding and strengthening, bulkhead swap etc then possibly dip it again and immediately etch prime the fresh clean metal.zedhead260 said:How long has it sat in bare metal ??

Good show!!!! That’s the way to restore a body. I did mine in a heated oven, won’t recommend it to anybody. Because it burns the entire car and when I say all I mean all…
Between the double plates, places where you normally can’t get through..
How does it work with acid, does it leave the kit layers etc.??? It’s good to leave the car like it is for some days; the rust will show up extra where it already was present!!!! Then you know the right places to cut..
