There are a few more 350's appearing in the breakers as time goes on. If you are looking for some 2nd hand bits then you might want to look here.

Cheers,

Paul

Useful info.

Wow they look bad, but the good thing is that unlike the 60/70s you don't get the scull-shaped impression in the windscreen, thank god!

As my engineering mate says, in these days of H&S attention if they did a risk assessment on driving it wouldn't be allowed anymore!

The trouble with breakers is that they only want to sell you big expensive items. For example I need an ashtray for my 350, don't laugh please! I don't smoke either, but mine (hinged lid mechanism) is broken and on a road car I like everything complete. Nissan price about £80!

Try phoning a breaker for an ashtray!

I know exactly what you mean. A few years ago you could take a few tools and climb over the wreck to get what you want. Now it's down to what they want to take off the car.

Would you like me to put some feelers out for an ashtray for you?

Yes please Paul, have a sniff around for me.

Martin, I know exactly what you mean, I have spent many a happy hour in breakers yards.

TBH they are bloody dangerous places too!

Take a look here at NissanParts.org if you want a new one - I don't know how much the delivery will be though (please let me know if you find out)

Back in the days of my much loved old Ford Escort (and student income) I spent quite a few hours in scrapyards. I often going home with *ahem* one or two extra switches and clips and fuses in my pockets :)

It helped having a mate whose back garden backed onto it too. I think one or two bits managed to levitate themselves over that!

They were a treasure trove, but yes, a bit dodgy. More than once I was getting stuff off a shell while keeping one eye on the other one balanced on its roof :-o

Scrapyards, you gotta love em and we all have stories.

I remember I needed boot struts for a Bluebird hatch, and the only bluebird in the breakers was on top of a ford Escort, which was on top of a Rover something.

That was interesting climbing into the boot through the back seats as the car slowly rocked back and forth.

Oh the joys of Saturday afternoons in the rain with a bag of spanners.

Oooh, that's just sad. All those beaten up 350's. :(
There is a guy in the US, he'd had his 07 for 3 days, it's now a write-off. It happened 3 days ago, completely rolled and smashed up.

It's stomach churning to see such young Zeds already destroyed:( , but talking of the USA and 350Z's I found this pic on the web a few weeks ago.

I just want to know how it happened.
