280Z / 260Z differences

I have recently been transplanting the engine from an imported 280Z into my 260Z 2+2.

There are some differences in the engine mounts; the 280Z's appears to have an extra stiffening plate in addition to a plate with rubbers to limit front to back movement. Is engine movement an issue on S30 Z cars or are these extra features to comply with the more stringent american crash test standards??

your right it is just an american thing that they do nothing to worry about

beautifully...you're doing the right thing go for it!!! DJZ 60.
