Thanks for putting the bubble over my face, no one needs to see that.
I managed to get the engine running after taking out about 25kg of superflous wiring:
There is still another 6 foot or so to go out the front. I did rip out the cruise control (which was not hooked up to anything) which I'm tempted to have a tinker with.
I measured up the new harness I need to create this week and will update next weekend with some install pics. I have decided to get rid of the supra steering column so have picked up a 260 column and controls, starting to think about adding original hardware back in which is a pleasant change.
Does anyone know what current the heated windscreen draws? While I'm doing the rear loom I'll put the links in for it in case I decide to hook it up
Thought I should post a quick update, managed to work out the necessary wiring for the engine so working on making some nicer looms. Put some pics up in case anyone was wondering the steps.
Cut and crimp the wires and add heat shrink to keep them bound:
Add metalic overbraid
Add heatshrink to keep braid in place
Finally add some woven braid over the top (I prefer nomex but kevlar is fine)
I used the above on the two connectors needed for the ECU:
My new favourite toy is a label printer which prints directly onto heatshrink:
And if you really want to go over the top I laced the new rear lights/number plate/fuel pump loom:
