240 Uprated suspension legs

Can someone tell me what options are available in terms of uprated suspension legs for a 240z. I know that with other makes/models of cars there’s the likes of Koni or Bilstein etc, but were/are these an option for the Zed?

Doesn’t have to be coil over, tho that would be nice. :)

They would be good

What are they?

Are they std legs with 2.5 platforms or are they larger then that on a zed.
Inserts?

Btw, that needs to get the tracking sorted, unless that steering relies on air control :D

The Arizona Z coil over kit that I have is about $1250 + (shipping and customs:rolleyes: ) and only keeps the hub from the original car. Comes with springs, dampers, camber platres etc. There are others out there, Modern Motorsport I believe also do a similar kit to AZ.

I'm sure Mr F must know of others closer to home.

Leeda somewhere in essex,mr f will know,or the eibach system that dave jarman supplies, thats wots on my car

The Bo****ks :

50mm Reiger remote reservoir dampers, variable rate springs, billet aluminium hubs - arguably the best suspension currently available (out of my league though !!!!) Fitted with "period" AP Racing calipers and discs (272mm, all allowed under the rally regs)

The more modern style AP Calipers look more like Brembos and the discs are bigger.

i think you can do it with 240z and early 260z legs as the tubes are smaller but then they are bigger on the later 260z and the 2" will not fit ,but if you are thinking of doing that MrG240Z was wanting to swap his Leda's for standard 240z legs which you could consider.

the leda systam is quite good as they do not have a shocker insert as such and it is called a wet system as the leg tube is the shocker with a damping rod built into it ,it is a expensive system to have converted to (about £2000)but you have it it is quite good,i have just had mine refurbished by Leda with new rods ,checked and painted and setup for road use for £326 which i think was excellent value .i will post some pictures soon .

there is also another kit that you can buy but i am not sure how good it is ,i ended up buying one but the sleeves would not fit over my 280z strut tubes so ended up using the Leda's instead but it should fit a 240z ,early 260z and you do not have to weld any sleeves on and it is designed to fit straight over your existing struts with shocker insert still in place and comes with 2.5 id springs.i think it cost me about £160 .i would post some pictures on here but i can not get them to resize so i will put some in my gallery.

You can buy 55mm ID threaded sleeves from Rally Design. I had to hone mine out a little but you'll probably have to do that to the 50mm versions too.
My springs are 60mm ID.

I know this isn't exactly the question from Wynn, it's just in case any other late 260Z owners are reading this.
