"Flied lice"?

WTF is that supposed to mean?
You never heard it before then as a gag? I thought you would know it being such a smart ***e :p

Anyway back to topic :D

E88 cylinder heads with Inj cut outs. These crop up all over the place. I get them on engines(some late 260s had them ) and I just find them in garage clearances. Probably off Laurels . cedics etc. Absolutley nothing remarkable or even vaguely interesting about them. They just look like any other E88 head. i did at one time unearth a proper 2.0l injected Fairlady engine at one stage. It was imported by one of these "Jap Engine specialists" for a customer who thought he had a 240Z engine. Kinda spoilt his day when I told him. LOL!!!
Got one sat on my workbench now. How fascinating(not)

Ok, std no uk inj it is then :) I think lol ;)

Just so I know like  Pete, was the 2.0l not a 4 pot

No No Wyn it was a pukka L20 six cylinder motor.Externally visually like all the others ie the 240, 260 ,280 engines. Owner was gutted when I pointed it out to him.(understandably)

Oh I know what it means alright. I just wanted to know what you meant when you used it in reference to me and mine. But maybe you haven't thought that through yet?

Smart ***e? Maybe I am. It sometimes turns out that some of the smart arses can tell you what you need / want to know ( feeling enlightened about your E88 injection head now? ), funnily enough. Talk about biting the hand that feeds you.

But I also know a thinly-veiled racist comment when I see one, and I don't like it. I also don't think it makes this forum a better place for the people that frequent it - even if some of them happen to agree with it. And I don't like associating with people who like to use throwaway comments like that ( even if you thought it was funny ).

Bye.

Sure I’ve seen pics of a 4 pot that looks like it’s a cut down 6-pot engine

I took it a 2.0l was one of those

No worries, live n learn :D

As far as I can gather the six cyl 2.l is a nice smooth little engine. As Moggy 240. Hes got one in his pale blue S30.(or he did when he bought it).
Not as powerful obviously but a nice short stroke motor.
I think it was the most popular option in Japan(partly for tax reasons) . No doubt Albrecht will tell us a bit more about it.

Bye.
Would you like some sauce to go with your chip Albert?

I’m not the one bringing race into anything

I merely relied "flied lice" as a gag at a pronunciation at saying something?

If that's a racist remark then imho you're just trying to rock your titanic lol
No wonder it sank with peeps like you on it

Not at all m8

I’m more then happy to try learn n listen, even if I do admit to need to be told the same answer 3 times b4 it sinks in

Shame tho how some peeps fly of their handle for some strange reason?

Chill man, btw that’s not a pop at anyone from Chilly :D

Wynn: From my book (not google because that'll just be wrong) and for future reference using the search button...

If your Nissan/Datsun is RWD and has OHC (presumably talking only about the L-gata engine) and a

  • Four pot - L13, L14, L16, L18, L20B
  • Six pot - L20A, L24, L26, L28, L28E, L28ET (E meaning injection, T meaning turbo).
Rather than list all of them,

  • L20A (6 pot) was used from 1966 to 1973 in the Cedric.
  • L20B (4 pot) was used in 610 (1975/76), 710 (1975-77), 510 (1978-1980), 620 (1975-79), 720 (1980), and 200SX (1970-79).
There is no mention of it in the 240z, which was a JDM option. Therefor my book must be of American orientation (nothing happens outside of America don't you know), and therefor my book is wrong also :) Should have googled it...

The description of this motor could be of the motor fitted from new to my 1973 240Z
All the details are the same, and correspond with its original registration documents, when registered at Brisbane Australia
