has anyone got any pictures of the interior of the 2 seater?
mine has some trim missing & i'm not sure whats what.
the 2 metal brackets that sit on the rear wheel arches hold to rear parcel shelf-but is there anything else that fits underneath it? like a panel that seperates the boot space from the storage bins perhaps?

All there is in the back of a 280 2 seat or 2+2 is the parcel shelf there are no other moveable bits fitted. I could post a pic of the rear of my 280 2 seat but as it is a full US spec car it doesnt even have a parcel shelf as US cars had a space saver spare in the compartment on the rear o/s.

U.K. 280ZX 2 seater has a vertical tonneau, carpet covered, behind the bins and a horizontal tonneau (also carpet covered) covering the rear compartment. The latter is hinged and has hooks on strings so it rises with the tailgate. Both can be readily removed, but leave ugly brackets on show (or holes in the trim if you remove these).

IMO the best look was the JDM rear which had none of this, but was left open in the the same way as the 240Z / 260Z. I managed to obtain some Japanese trim to do this on my IMSA car - could still use a LH rear quarter trim in black (and not shrunk and peeling) if anyone has one. Although relocating the battery here might force a different solution....:280Z:

Thats interesting Mike, Ive never seen a vertical tonneau on a 2 seater, perhaps they have all been binned by the time |I get to them. Adrian

Your right yet again Mr F, Ive got Geoff Gales 280 2 seat here at the moment and just behind the tool boxes is a vertical tonneau, just like you said there should be. The number of times I have ridden in the car and driven it I had never noticed it before.

PS no need to reply with an "I told you so " post. Humble pie eaten!
