You are NOT breaking a complete, clean shell for a roof-skin !
Admittedly I haven't read the whole thread in detail (my bad), but I thought the idea was either/both to chop the car up for parts and fill it with panels too.

Yes, the roof is nice.
I will be at the car today and will take more pics of the roof, all four corners.
I will also take some closeups of the rust prone areas just to show how nice it is.
