bypass/block heater core

I have a coolant leak from somewhere under the dash, so presumably heater core or valve. Since I shouldn't need the heater over the summer, I'm planning to just block or bypass the system for now. There's a variety of views on US forums as to whether bypassing or blocking is better but the weight of opinion seems to be to block - anyone here have any experience of either & any recommendations for how to block off - have seen a variety of solutions suggested online...

i seem to recall its 15mm one end and 16mm the other as i had to go out of my way to find an adapter as I've joined the inlet and outlet together too because my valve leaked

I can't remember to be honest. I know I fitted a single diameter hose though.

I'll have a look tomorrow.

yeah you are right paul, one hose will do it, i ordered some 15mm hose and it was a real pita to squeeze on the other end but it did go on.
