Decent tyres (I'm a big fan of the 888's) + 9 psi will see you in the 1.8's, by the time you cross the line whatever time you gain (over old 60ft time) multiplies up.

EG
old 60ft = 2.09 (did you start in 2nd gear :p)
New 60 ft = 1.85 (is possible on street tyres..done it, so has Phil)

Differential = 0.24 of a second

By the time you are 1320 feet futher down the track your ET will be reduced by as much as 0.35 of a second taking you easily into the 11's

So stop being a wuss and get practicing those launches.

Anyway.....anyone fancy coming to the retro show, next day after round 3 of the drag challenge....plenty of scalps to be had and plenty of payback due to the likes of the cheating get in the reliant kitten that didnt declare his 100 shot of laughing gas which was on top of the Vauxhall V6 under the hood, or the Arris Escorts running slicks in a road legal class.

I must admit the the track conditions were really good when I got several runs in at the 1.9 mark. I have not matched that since, but I definitely have not had enough practice! :eek:

It certainly looks like your car is a good 1/2 sec quicker than mine, and mine certainly feels v. quick, I can't imagine what yours must feel like:bow:

I will be making the retro show round, but might be only the Saturday, I'll see what I can do though...
 
All being well I will be there, will try to get there earley as the AM looks to be better than PM.

Currently recovering from severe gastroenteritus inflicted on my by some Egyptian bacteria, at this moment in time I am covering the distance from me to the toilet, quicker than my 60ft times

4 days and still no let up.....full details can be supplied if required

Sorry to hear that Steve, to be honest everyone who goes there gets it :eek:. Camping at Le Mans was fine by the way ;).
