I keep looking at your roadster on eBay. It’s lovely. What was in the boot full of bits? Think it would scrape an mot as is?

Would need little to pass MOT but brakes are spongy and need attention.

Talking of Alfa and Nissan who remembers those awful hatchbacks of the early/mid 80s from their unlikely joint venture.
Alfa Arna and the top of the range Nissan Cherry Europe GTI.
Now there is a car, any left on the road today ?

At more than twice the price of the 510, the Alfas' price opens up a lot of choice.

How much is a good 510 these days ? I heard they were tres cher in Japan and catching up elsewhere. They do have a certain charm but would match them up to the Guilia Super rather than GTJ/V. See the Italians can even make a shoebox design look amazing.

Compare like for like though - it was against the GTV that the 510 raced (and won). And yes, I'm currently reading "The stainless steel carrot".
