triple webers

they are very cheap, do you not have to buy them in a set?, would they have different jets ect fitted?. Ide also then have to buy manifold and linkages,

yes heard solex are very bad and hard to get parts for,

when I get carbs, manifold, linkeages what else do I need? think I need electris fuel pump anything else?

thanks,
Jay

Jay, if fitting an electric pump you need a pressure regulator to avoid overflow spillage onto the exhaust manifold. Small point but important.

no need to buy a set just make sure they are the same model DHLA40 etc you can change the chokes/idel jets/main jets/emulsion tubes to suit your car once you have them.

All looks good to me. Carbs £225 ish plus postage probably another £50 plus import tax £25 plus VAT on carbs and postage £32 makes about £300

manifold abd linkage will probably work out about the same £300 ish delivered.

You will also need the rubber mounts between the carbs and the manifold and a good set of filters

Couple of observations.
Those carbs are extremely cheap at that price.
Not sure, but the manifold does'nt appear to have towers for rod linkage although the linkage system you are looking at is a rod system, I think?

Not 100% on this, but just because it states DHLA 40 is doesn't mean they are ok as some drillings on various carbs are ok for the Nissan engine. Best to check with a Dellorto/Weber main dealer if they are ok. Serial numbers or exact model numbers would be your best bet.

As an example I hear that Alpha used some Webers that cant be used on many cars yet they show the 40 marrqe....:conf2:

to be honest I know nothing about the linkage system or the manifold only what I see on the internet site, I've never seen a set of triple carbs in my life!

About the carbs the seller said they will work with a datsun and the L series engine so I think I'll buy the carbs anyway......

Jay.

Think your good to go with the carbs and the linkage....it's just the manifold that doesn't have the support for the linkage. I will try and find a link so you can see what we are talking about

Ask the seller of the manifold if his linkage kit will work with that manifold, if it does then it's all good.

Ok Im getting confused now guys :conf2: will the carbs be ok?

Get the numbers of the Carbs and phone, "Southern carbs and injection LTD" in Wimbledon SW19 as they will confirm for you.

Ok well I just bought those carbs, he wants to know if i want ball and joint or cable type throttle lever linkages......... anyone know what I want? I think they are ball and joint?

Best show him the picture of the carbs. The one on the far left has a cable type throttle link and the others have screws that tighten against a metal bar. I will look on my old alfa as that has a similar setup

well he has the carbs, Im buying them off him, think he wants to know what link I want on the carbs, he also wants to know what jets I want in it??
