Tatton Park Show

Thats a very messy thread indeed! Somebody has hi-jacked it and turned it into an "Oulton Park " thread
New thread needed IMO.
Like " Tatton Park Show Jun 2008. Who wants to go."

Im going anyway, no matter how messy the thread is. Richie P is sending me a Ticket:bow:
Ive already got a shopping list for the autojumble/ trade section.
One of the best IMO.:D
And the Chesire PlainZ regulars are a decent bunch of people really:cool:

Thanks Steve for drawing attention to this.

As I am saying in that older thread, we have 20 passes (each valid for Saturday and Sunday) and a double-size plot so a nice turn-out both days would be appreciated!

Around 8-10 passes are already accounted for but that means there are still plenty left.

If you want one, please send me a PM with your name and address details asap and I will post one out. Failing that, I'll be on hand on the day to hand out remaining ones at the gate if needs be - people will have to call me (PM for mobile number).

P.S. if you are only going to make Saturday (likely to be the lower turnout day of the two) you'll need to hand the passes back to me before you leave - just in case I need them for people on Sunday.

Out of reverse & into 1st gear.

I thought that after being a member for 3 months it's about time i headed for 1st gear and todays experience gives me the opportunity to do just that!I've had one of the most enjoyable afternoons for a long time at the Classic Car Show,Tatton Park,Cheshire where i've met a real nice bunch of dedicated Z enthusiasts.
Didn't get to talk to everyone and can't remember everyone's name but their knowledge, helpfulness & welcoming manner was truly amazing despite the abysmal weather. One member (PLF 962L) was even awarded the best recently restored car at the show and there was thousands there that day.
My gearbox should be repaired by the end of the week so i'm looking forward to meeting up again at the North West Motorshow,Southport on 21/22nd June.

Welcome to the forum mate! we are not a bad bunch really:rolleyes:
A pity about the rain today at Tatton but it was still a good show as ever. Let me know about your g box probs when you get the car back.
And it was Richie P who won the award. And quite rightly so IMO.
His car is stunning:bow:

That's great news for Richard!!! Sorry I missed his car! I was there on Saturday, but had other commitments on Sunday! DOH!

Sorry I couldn't make it.
I should have been there today but didn't get my motor running til just after lunch.

Hopefully I didn't prevent anyone else from having a pass. Apologies if I did.

Cheers for the comments people! :)

It was a pity, as Pete said, about the rain (and typical - first show day for the car and it gets rained on for 80% of it!!) but it was great to finally get the car back on the road after 3-plus years and I was very happy about the award!

I would've liked to have got the car down on Saturday, not least because the weather was so much better, but I just didn't have time after MOTing it and then bringing it up from my parents' place in Burton.

Now its just a case of getting a few bugs ironed out here and there and the tuning dialled in and soon I might actually be able to take a break from tinkering and just enjoy driving it again! (Fuel consumption was a shock though with the new engine )

I'll post a few pix of the car I took (before it rained) tonight.

I can also start refocusing on the other priority now - getting a garage built up here for the car to live in permanently!

Hehe... Kerry made that for me on Saturday morning while I was at the MOT station - you can't really see in the pic above, but it was a Japanese flag at the bottom and a smiley on it too! I was very amused by it - and besides, it gives me an excuse in the eyes of other drivers for toddling along like an old dear for a few hundred miles!

Maybe when it gets a bit more used, I'll switch it for a "Running In - Please Pass (if you think you're hard enough)" sign... :D

thats a fabby car you have there dont suppose you,d fancy doing a trade for my smallish wife she,s a great cook , mud wrestler etc and half a bag of licorice torpedos . yours in anticipation mark
