Seats again.

I was in seat buying mode as well and ordered these which arrived today - a different price point (lower) but look exactly the same as a much dearer one from retro seats and measure the same as well.

Those look amazing. How are they size wise as often the complaint with this design is that one has to be petite ..

Yeah I quite liked those but wanted harness slots to keep them in place.

Also a headrest is important especially as mine is a 77 and period

where are those ones from?
They are from BB Classics - via ebay- £299.95 for the pair delivered.

BB2 Pepperpot RS Fibreglass sports seat.

Listed as seconds but mine were not as the listing and look more than ok to me.
Look and measure exactly the same as the KPGC13 listed on retro seats but minus the headrest but mine have the captive nuts for a headrest.

seats have been one of the most difficult things to find.

Indeed they have. many a time I’ve been close to pushing the button but at huge compromise for me.

Glad I led to these by a fellow Z man as I’ve been searching for ages for the MZR Autolook jobbies.

Certainly wide enough for my 6.2” frame but thinking they might sit a tad higher than the std seat.

I might have to chop some wiggle room out of the metal in the car

I did think a lot about this and decided if I ever re-trim them I may add the slots.
I have asked BB to check if their supplier can send 2 headrests as I would prefer them as well but I have a bit of money to play with now to track some down?

Well, I sat in them both on the floor and did not do the comedy stand up with them still attached.
This is all in a 5'9" 13 stone "non petite" way if that helps?
Those look a lot better than some of the other cheaper options in terms of shape. The ones I had previously were far too well padded in the base and I simply couldn’t fit in the car with them installed!

What’s your plan, get these re trimmed or fit as is. Also how comfortable are they, please post picks if you install as I too like the autolook ones and unsure if I should refit my old seats for now and buy autolook ones as they come up or just go for something new such as something like these.

As I said these are what MZR use so quality and strength of the main shell I’m hoping is up to the job but the sizing is good.

What I’m not sure about yet is if the seat will sit higher.

Plan is to fit as is as they’re not bad tbh. See how I get on and retrim one day in leather.

I need to dig my car out of my unit when it stops raining and try one

And that, gentlemen, is how facts become established!

I didn't say you were wrong, I was merely illustrating how conjecture turns to gospel in a fortnight. No offence meant.
Another matter to consider is that, as the MZR cars are chock full of bespoke parts, its possible they are making their own.
