I have noticed Saturday have been very good turnouts over the few years

And there quite a few going to japfest aswell so be good weekend get a hotel near Silverstone or camp at japfest Saturday night

A few folks have asked me lately about the ticket purchasing code we always have for Donington and I hadn't heard back so I've emailed this morning and got a reply from the organisers which contains some hopefully good news. Below is an excerpt from said email

We’ve not issued codes yet as Donington Park has been taken over by MSV who run Brands etc, and they are setting up a totally new booking system and it’s not ready yet. It’s a bit more complex than we’ve had in the past, but the good news is that there is no minimum number of two tickets now, so if one of your members just wants to come along by his/herself, there’s no need to acquire a second ticket. It’s a straight 50% discount now.

So the single visitor amongst us will now be able to buy just one single ticket - good news eh Rob :cool:

No mention yet though of prices under MSV ownership, so watch this space..!

Yes Jonathan.

It seems MSV are addressing a lot of the issues I wrote to the previous 'operators' about e.g. toilets, spectator facilities, rough track.

I've sent feedback several years on the trot to no avail, and I am sure MSV will make a difference, although as I said when they first took over, I think that ticket prices will increase also.

Donington has been by far the cheapest event of it's kind for as long as I have been involved with it.

No Rob, early birds will, I suspect, be dearer than they are with the club code (see post 45).

I only registered last week, I'm sure Karen will add us to the list in due course.
 
Thank you for allowing me reply to this thread, I have just booked the ferry from Friday04 to return Mon 07 with my 280zx.. Really hoping to see a lot of old friends
 
Thanks Rob, I am excited now I have just booked my accommodation for the weekend, I got a self contained apartment 5 minutes walk?? from the paddock gate. Happy days.

I'll be Saturday only Steve, as I'm sure you will have seen I've taken the decision to organise a stand with Nissansportz at Japfest so we have attendance at both shows.
