well well, here I am at last on the forum, what can I say about last weekend, Sunshine, Old friends, Bulges, New friends, Tyre changes, Club meal, Z members in "hot pants", great conversations, lots of craic, controversy of mileage travelled, relationship advice (dont mind a word I say) some tears, name amnesia, (there was another Anthony at the meal last night!!! DOH me as he removes hat and shades) but you dont look like a Jake!!to Jake, Tim, very very nice but dim, samuri porn, what fun,
Well we trundled off on Sunday, about 3pm, long story short we could not get any bed for Sunday night, so we arrived in Holyhead at 9pm and changed our Ferry to the 2.40am Monday. We were like 3 S-hooks after spending all that time in the car. Rita swears she has velour imprinted on her ass. Lizz has all those interesting pictures, I made her join the club (Lizzoni) just have to get her posting on here.
Having had to drive from Stoke on a flat "run flat donovo" THANK YOU SO MUCH to Mr Peters??? who brought me spare wheel from home and donated it, also to Rob Gaskins who also offered to give me his own spare. To the 25 members who changed the wheel, all at the same time, THANK YOU, we wont mention dropping the car twice, and special thanks to the member in the grey T shirt who almost decapitated himself. PS I am missing the wheel centre nut with Z logo anybody any idea where it could be?
And of course I cannot forget to mention my 2 old pals and Grand Masters of the Z club Steve Burns and Paul Wrangle. Respect to all

This is an extract from a Donington mail-shot today. Disappointing really that the huge numbers of modern cars were mentioned but not the much rarer and historic Z cars.

Donington Park’s Infield was a popular place to be, not because the mature trees gave some welcome shade, but because of the superb array of classic cars brought along by the dozens of car clubs that took part. Porsche Club GB had its usual impressive presence, its members making the most of the incredible views of the track from their stand, but PCGB was out-numbered this year by Simply Mustangs UK, who amassed an astonishing 270 Ford Mustangs on the Saturday. 40 of these led the lunchtime parade in an unforgettable sight - and those who got the chance to take part clearly loved every second.

Agreed Rob, still overlooked and undervalued as an attraction. I drove down the M6 from Kendal to Blackburn last night and over the journey saw several Porsche and one new Mustang on the road, but guess what, I never saw a Datsun...!

I may have a spare Z center cap that came off the wheel I gave you. You can have it for the same price as the wheel :)

Hi Tim, great to see you at the weekend and I never did get back to you to look at your interior - sorry.

No worries Rob, great to see you too. Just been speaking with RIDDLER and talked of meeting up at your place to view his Volvo, good half way house.

Thanks Tim,

Lets hope sundays photos never materialise...
