Gents,

just joined the ranks of z-car owners as mine arrived from Holland just in time for Christmas.

She is a Texas Gal, born 04/70, chassis 03015 and spent all her life around the San Antonio area. I have taken her apart and listed the bits I am looking for below in hope that some of you might have some of these items "laying" around. I am hoping to keep her as original as possible i.e. US-spec and would like to use used parts.

Here is what I am missing so far:

Heater matrix
Radio
I got the centre console but am missing literally everything else going on and into the console.
Door panels
Seats
Mats
Antenna

Badges, quarter "240Z", hatch "240z" & "Datsun"
Head lights
US over-riders for front and back bumpers
Possibly entire back bumper as this one will require re-chroming at least
All Interior and Exterior rubber seals all-around
Rubber seals for rear lights
Centre rear body panel

I am sure there are many members that have been through the whole process of getting a US-car through MOT so any help and tips in that matter would be greatly appreciated.

And finally a great thnks to PMAC for his help and offer to assist in the search for parts.

Cheers

Took us 2 goes having failed first time around on volume of the horn!!!

Strangely enough, here your horn is NOT a failure point whereas so many other things are so much stricter than the UK - just another case of varied Euro rules.....I also beleive that MOTs here should be every year for non-classic cars.

Thanks all for the response. I will PM you for the bumpers bits. I have added a couple of pics of my girl. I got a good local garage with classic car experience holding my hand through the MOT process so I am sure I'll get by somehow, and I will definitely test the horn volume before!!!

i would not try and 2nd guess the MOT just put it in and then you know what you will need to do.standard 7inch headlights will fit but it depends if you still have the buckets and retaining ring.lights will need a rewire and the rear tail lights my not pass depending on your MOT station

Yes, finally worked out the pics! The mods are interesting which I seem to keep finding more off as I dig deeper. The "Angel" eye headlights were a highlight!

and I agree with the comment regarding the MOT.

thanks for all the positive comments. Look forward to meet you all.
