Steve !!

You have to much cash m8!! ;) :D

How the fook you afford that lot I'll never know
respecta.gif

I can’t believe that m8

That’s gotta be over £600’s worth of bricks you have there ? (Just so you feel bad if they cost more lol ;) )

Tell me I’m a mile off?

6 pot? What dia are the discs? Wheel size needed?

You sexy BEAST :D That will look incredibly flash and sexy :D

Forgive the dim question but are the finned covers there to aid cooling ? Why not just install a diff oil cooler ? That was my plan but I would appreciate some guidance.
I have been advised that the ATB diff I have should not need additional cooling and will go straight into the smooth backed R200 housing without issue ???? Being a diff dummy, I have no idea whether that is the right or wrong advice.

Anybody with a quaife in an R200 care to advise?

At the moment I am err'ing on the side of caution hence prefering to use the finned cover with it increased oil capacity if I can. I have one from an old manual 280ZX that I scrapped 10 years ago (knew it would come in useful one day:D ) That rather sexy peice of AZ machining seems to solve how I can do that elegantly still trying to keep the factory feel to the upgrade.

Ok,Ok not many car manufacturers use billet parts granted, I think I'll use some spray underseal to cover them all up!!!!!:D :D

Total cost for the 5 stud conversion brake upgrade kit containing the 5 stud hub conversions front and rear with directional vane 307mm discs 32mm thick for the front and 307mm discs 20 something mm thick rears with 6 pot front and four pot rear ali lightweight calipers and stainless braded hoses plus pads and bits and bobs approx £1400

This setup I must add is AZ's full overkill setup, you can go a lot cheaper than this, remain 4 stud, 4 pot fronts, non heavy duty directional vane calipers, etc.

Do it once and do it properly ;)

Looking great, I think you are taking the route I'd like to in the future. Can't wait to see it all together and driven in anger! :D

So cheating!

I got this back from the engineers today.

You told me to do it:eek:

Cool, I have some sort of superhuman ability to get you to spend money, now if I can just convince my girlfriend to stop spending money life'll be sweet ;)

Looking good!:)

Happy with it?

Yeah, it seems pretty good and solid. Definitely happy with the new engineering shop I've used for this, turn around in less than a week. I've still not heard from the other place I took the drawings to months ago. Now I'm trying to get my head around the rest of the cradle design that I should've finished of months ago :D

Cheers,
Rob

Rob,
Can't be as bad as my case. My project required a wedding ring 'upgrade' for my wife. Her 1/2 carat marquise magically turned nto a 5 carat round with an additional 3 carats of princess cuts on the platinum band. It's probably worth twice of what I have in my car. Still recovering from that one.
I am so envious of what you guys are doing with your cars. I have been totally hamstrung by non-existent garage space and time plus pretty much using the car as my daily commuter to work that it just hasn't been able to develop as nicely as the projects y'all are working.
Anyone have the Modern Motorsports CV upgrade installed yet?

Don't be too jealous, I haven't got a garage either, or much workspace unlike Mister Steve 'My garage is considerably bigger than yours' Zeeman ;)

Still we muddle through. Looking forward to our lame excuse for summer so I can get back on the case without getting pneumonia :D

Oh, I've got the parts for MMs CV upgrade (280ZX shafts) but haven't installed and probably won't as the CV shafts won't fit my S15 Silvia Torsen Diff - d'oh, good planning Rob!

Cheers,
Rob

RAAASSSPPPPP:p

Just to say I spoke to Dave at Arizona Z Car for a bit yesterday and he is really very helpful. Top man.

Have any of you figured out how to get stuff cheaply from Arizona to here as I have about 5kg I may want to ship across...

Cheers

For 5kg I'd ship direct.

Most of my boxes were 40lbs each and they were coming in at $130 a box USPS economy air parcel freight, they normally took 7-10 working days to get here. Only if either the value or wheight of the boxes are high would I suggest the route I took to move things!

Russ,

Just read through your signature block - personally I like the old Saab 2-cylces better, Braaap, ring-ding-ding-ding, braaap,ring-ding-ding-ding,.....

Bling-a-ding-ding!

Its here!

If SKiddell is Mr CF I think I'm getting on to becoming Mr Billet.

As always from Dave at AZ top notch stuff!

Now if I could just get the 3 83 280ZX targas I have 'acquired' recently moved out of the way I could get back to it! Late 280ZX parts anyone???? Auto gearboxes going free to collector!

Steve, iz that the rear diff mount bar?
Should it not matter its mounted from the floor rather then those hangers ?
