.......and.......the bakehouse project has begun (€10000 worth) !:eek::unsure:

The roof needs changing but why do just that when you can add another 35m² to the house and a fourth bedroom ?:thumbs:

So out comes the old rear stone staircase and dig down to allow enough space to walk under those lovely beams and put in a concrete base next Monday (4m3 delivered by lorry).

I like the bold colours, I wish I could be bothered to take photos of my project :) Will do so when I'm decorating in side, for the moment it's stuff like replacing windows and digging soakaways and installing land drainage, all very dull :)

Novel place for your computer, I think I should be less geeky and hide the bloody thing away. I have a spare room which could be a guest room/office I suppose, but computers never really look attractive.
 
It was part of the deal with Cathy that my old farmhouse table (desk) be cut down for the coffee table and that the PC and wires and all be able to be closed away - no dusty cables, no unsightly desk with Post-Its etc hanging around.
 
I want my garage, barn and parking back please.......two Velux windows and the drainage material to arrive tomorrow. Zinc and lead flashing and zinc guttering on their way too !

Two Veluxs to go in and moving a window to where the hole in the far wall is.

Estimated total cost for 40m² extra is €14,000.

effing blocked to load photos so here goes :









Nearly finished.....:rolleyes: paint, electricity, more paint do the mezzanine floor, bannister rails, doors....!

On the outside, the zinc guttering is all in place and drains but the rendering was a no-no - too cold and wet to risk it this year. Gives more time to save up.:thumbs:
 
Tch, tch, tch.........Zs are for driving - you know that. No, a cosy bathroom, kichenette and sitting room.
 
Lol ... you can only drive one at a time ... besides making it into a huge sitting room with kitchenette and an array of Z's to look at would be kind of cool.
 
.............but I've only one Z left now - boo-hoo !

Anyway, I'm allowed to decorate the garage with Z pictures etc - not living space.
