LakeZ 2012

Probably only S30 going from north of the border.

There will be a small Scottish invasion of myself and my car, will probably not be camping though, memories of last years weather are still quite vivid!

It can be quite nice up here, cold but usually dry. But must admit as soon as I taxed the car just over a week ago it has decided to rain almost every day.

I know what you mean Mate, I put my battery on trickle in the faint hope it might stop raining for this weekend...no chance...!

Thanks steve. I'm looking forward to seeing some of you gain too. Honk a fellow 300 owner kev and his misses see might come too hopefully :)

Shame we didn't get to come down yours last year, on a plus note though... I have my car back now!!! Woohoo

I have been a bit quiet updating this thread. One of the main reasons is that I am waiting for some rather special info to post soon. OK, its only a raffle prize but its something a little special that will be awarded using the entry tickets. As such, everyone attending will automatically be put in the draw.

Thats me just home from work and off for a month. :D ( I dont belive it will happen).

I called into the hotel on the way home and there are three double/twin rooms available for those who dont fancy camping.

As for the weather, lets face it ALL of June cant be this rubbish so I am confident it will be good.

The band are booked and I hope to have another one at no extra cost to attendees.

There will be food available all weekend with a great full english at a very reasonable cost.

I appreciate times are not great for everyone at the moment and am trying very very hard to keep the costs down so its still only £10 per person for the full weekend entry plus £5 to camp. The only extra will be a buffet on the Saturday night which I am sorting prices out for at the moment.

By all means bring your own drink. The hotel doesnt mind as long as it doesnt get taken into the hotel itself which is fair.

For those wishing to BBQ that fine as long as its on a base and not the grass.

Nissan have donated some great Raffle prizes, I also have some more from a local booze outlet.

Tim from Envy Valeting will be there all weekend to offer advice and some great products.

Lets all get together and enjoy what the ownership of the car is all about.

Looking forward to it Mr Mac, and this northern heatwave we are expecting at the end of June will help :D

The list of names is now looking to be longer than last year. Plenty of room left though. I will be booking the food over the weekend so if anyone else is up for a great social weekend register your interest soon.

Max is also offering to sort some carting out for the Saturday afternoon. Its teams of 4 and £30 each if anyone fancies it.

any recomendations for somewhere to stay nearby (like 5 minutes drive)

i've suddenly decided i'm to old to camp (in a tent) and the hotel are full

Must be a few places left in Kendal Ian, depends on budget, but a few small B&Bs and quite a few hotels in town

There is a travelodge about a mile away but I may have a spare room in the hotel. I will know by this evening.

Mandy and myself are heading down for the full weekend. I hope that sun you booked arrives on time Martin, as we will be camping. Well at the very least while I put the tent up! :D

I must remember my camera too to catch some of the amazing scenery...;)
