Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the site but have been a fan of the 240 and 260Z's for years.

I have just placed a wanted ad in the forum for a 240Z which I'm hoping to obtain in time for this years Le Mans.

Welcome !

If you've got the money, you'll find one.........if you want one cheap....you won't be at Le Mans with it !

I will be there, Camping Expo contact details below.

Many thanks for the welcome and camping details.

This will get you to Le Mans.:driving:
You will be sitting on the correct side of the car for most of the journey.
All you need in addition to this car is petrol and insurance.

Not forgetting the money of course. £7950:D

your wanted ad hasnt appeared yet so I cant reply to it.
When it does I will reply with full details.
In the meantime I thought I might as well engage in some underhand back door selling as Im known for it on this forum.

Except that it is not the same colour as when it left the Factory !

This is the 240Z that Steve Bicknell did a very good job of restoring some years ago, only when he sold it, it was the 905 Red, not the 110 Red as is now.

Is that the same one that had registation YER 111* that belonged to Richard Laines and Steve reshelled it

This one fits into your 'A1' parameter Alan. Concours Datsun 240Z RHD Original UK For Sale (1973) on Car And Classic UK

It's probably about the right price for a car described as "as it came from the factory if not better!"

Dale, many thanks for the suggestion. I am aware of this one but just can't justify the cost.

I may have to lower my requirements if I have no luck

If I were you I wouldn't discount a LHD.

I bought one recently and although the car needs plenty of work it's absolutely rock solid, no rot anywhere and original metal. For me that's the most important thing......I can't be dealing with rust especially when its Z where panels are a nightmare to get

Actually that particular bodyshell left the "Factory" with the steering wheel on the other side of the shell IIRC

Totally agree, the rust issue is most important.

If the ideal car comes up and it's LHD it won't be ignored.
