Ok, how many two-stroke racing car teams do you know of ?
Maybe Saab and their rally car...?

What we all need are mild steel systems, they make more power and don't radiate heat as much
Takes two to argue and I'm not either....just trying to fathom now your above statement if it only applies to two-stroke motorbike works racing teams on this thread.
Thanks Jason, please fire away!
It covers the bottom of the carbs totally, which is about as good as you can do.
No it's not at all ! There are many ways to be better and the most straight-forward one is to protect not only the carbs but the intake manifold through which the fuel passes before the engine.
There isn't !
But your guru isn't a fan of 'at least we tried'.....!
Hardly, as it gives everyone the choice - you prefer this :Thats disappointing given the price.
When it matters, the air/fuel mix is flying through the carbs and manifold. I very much doubt an extra 20 degrees in the manifold walls makes a difference, given how brief the contact period is.

others do otherwise and a roll of D.Tweeks Nimbus is a lot cheaper !
Is this 'worth' $4500 ? https://datsunspirit.com/shop/hand-...-stainless-steel-header-with-merge-collector/
It was conceived for a specific purpose which it no doubt does very well but will it work for all set-ups and uses ? No.
Horses for courses...
Jonbills - you're next.
I've banned myself from getting into any type of exhaust discussion with you

Well that settles it then.I've known much smarter Z engineers than I install full heat-shields....and then cold-air intakes....so that it can be reheated before combustion ?
Here Woody.
Difficult to tell, its a pressed piece, curved all around from a single piece.
'Heat Plane' made me smile.
