Thanks for info on sump and exhaust. They are a couple of items I do not have purchase invoices for from the previous owner. Moroso sump looks correct, my engine man did say he thought it came from USA by bolt sizes used on internal baffle.
 
If you measure the ID/OD of the primary and collector pipes you may be able to compare against the data on Sean’s site to determine if it was potentially one of his. If imperial measurements then it may well be original NISMO.

I’m happy to be corrected as I’m no historian of such things but my understanding is that NISMO ones had imperial / inch based measurements that were ever so slightly different to the reproduction ones which use metric tubing. Am I correct?
 
Not technically Nismo (which didn't exist before 1984) but Datsun competition parts - built and supplied in the USA to serve LHD Zs.

They were made with 1 3/4" and also 1" 5/8" primary pipes and I've seen at least 1x stepped version.

One should also measure the tube wall for it's thickness - just to be sure of the measurement (s).

Not being technically minded and still learning all things Z, can you or someone advise on my gearbox spec. Attached are photos, it has numbers 8 4 12 space 2 7 9 on the top.

Paul, I was referring to the gearbox on the floor in the photo.

Moroso only started making them relatively recently.

The original 'Datsun Competition USA'/'Nissan Competition USA' comp oil pans were manufactured for Nissan USA by a company called 'Design Products' of California. Yours looks like one of theirs.

The stamped numbers are not usually all that much help in full identification.

Flanged output *usually* suggests a Servo (steel) synchro trans [FS5C71-B] rather than a Warner (brass) synchro trans [FS5W71-B].

You can try working out the ratios by counting input rotation vs output rotation in each gear, but if you really want to pin down what's inside you'll need to split the case and start counting tooth combos on gears and counter gears (tedious!).
