240z for sale

Well it "Sold" last night at 26,100, however is back up again with the same seller as £27k.

The same *** who had bid on my car, without seeing it, was 2nd on the list for the black car, another eBay dreamer.

No, Sean he was my highest bidder and withdrew his bid today, so it is still the original auction.

I suspected he was a risk.

I have128 voyeurs ;)

Hi Mike

I viewed your auction the other day & your car had 2 bids, 1st bidder 15k the 2nd bidder was at 28k, oh its just come to me, big bid reserve was met, that puzzled me for a while.

Anyway good luck with the sale of your gorgeous car, I hope all goes smoothly from now on for you. F******g idiots spoil it for everyone.

No, I'm afraid not, you can withdraw but have to give a reason, in this instance he said he put I the wrong number, but he had bid over 25k on the black car and knew it was on Car & Classic at 30k.

I had this happen earlier on in the year.

People withdrawing their bid is not on and makes the other bidders think you're up to no good

I just sold a C3 vette on Fleabay last week....horror of horrors the winning bidder was in Germany and never gave me the dipper within 24 hrs. Luckily the under bidder was still hot

Ebay drives me bonkers but sometimes comes good

Ebay keeps reminding us that bids are binding but apparently that's all bAllocks ?

I can understand if you cancel your bid within 24hrs having made an error in the amount or whatever but leaving a bid run for several days should become legally binding and at the least incur ebay sanctions or the whole purpose of feedback means nothing and as viper says - it gives a bad impression to other bidders now it's all secret squirrel, hidden bidding !

So, its back up for sale but he's removed the remarks about no filler. It was never realistic to say a 43 year old car that has been used will have no filler. They all have and most people accept that.

There were three at Rob's earlier with no filler! :D

I should have better quantified those words. I'll try again.

There are very few regularly used original RHD UK cars that have no filler. Most have at least a little filler and we accept that.

So you should George. There are very few that have never been touched with a welder or had dents skimmed with filler for paintwork. They don't make untouched cars anymore so you have one of the ever decreasing minority.

My Zeds never bin welded,Ie, floors,chasis,inner wings,etc

How old was it when you bought it Paul ? It must have had loving caring owners all its life. From memory was your Z registered in 1978, I saw it at Dave Jarman's many years ago it is an absolute beauty & is Dave's most favorite Z for a road going Z !!

Yeah that was mine,it was owned by a pub landlord in Sunderland I think and was dry stored for 5 years and was used to tow a speed boat, hence the tow bar on the back with a pig on it,if I took it of it would probably get rear ended so it's for protection purposes as I have written off 2 bmw's and a merc when I had one on my Saab 900 ,so be warned, don't mess with an old Saab or Volvo,I've had the car since about 1987 and has allways been in the garage,it does go out in the rain, also I've had rear arches and were led filled but the main bits are all there, but saying that a car with new metal,Ie floors chasis rails might be a better car to own
