Oh Yes!!!!!

Don't forget, they will be saying the same about my car in 20 years time..........and it still won't be true!!!!

Except that mine is 33 years old, 20 bhp down on yours and 400 + kgs lighter.........

When you want, chummy......when you want ;)

Looks like it could be an interesting race with the grid positions for tomorrow.

Anyone know why Schumacher and Alonso got the penalties?

"Alonso got his penalties for his altercation with Robert Doornbos on Friday afternoon and for passing under a yellow flag; Schumacher got his after passing three cars - Alonso’s, Kubica’s and David Coulthard’s - when Saturday morning’s practice session was red flagged after Button’s engine failure. Because of the severity of ignoring a red, he got two seconds’ penalty as well."

I think I can count upon my top eight finishing in the top eight - the Hondas and Wiiliams won't last and who the hell is Kubica - sounds like a box of camera film :) !

Thanks for the explanation Sean, I tried watching qualifying from hotel in Sicily during a rain storm, terrible picture and in Italian. All I could figure was the grid positions. It will make for an interesting race though (as said previously).

Think you guys might catch up tomorrow, but there again!

I would never have put Massa for a win over Schuie due to team tatics but hey he might get a chance tomorrow.

I'll be watching from a resturant like last week, it has lots of big screens, ideal for giving Jayne (my misses) indegestion.

What a bitch of a life you lead Rob......... !

I hope it's a fun race but so many times these 'Bernie staged' grids turn out within 20 laps to be the same parade.......t'would be nice to see the big guns struggling to get past - I hate blue flags !

Standings after Hungary:

Rob Gaskin 215
Sean 183
Rob Jones 176
Olaf 158
Dave 143
Steve L 83
Top honours to Sean & Rob G this time - but who could have predicted this podium?? :conf2:
Great race too - start to finish

Yes Sean having a good time on holiday, but I've been working too hard all year!

Anyway there I was watching the GP in my replica Renault Team shirt (no particular fan but like the shirt) when Alonso had to retire after a great performance. All the Italians suddenly cheered and turned to me laughing! I felt like a football supporter, they really follow Ferrari don't they. Anyway with 2 fingers in the air I quickly pointed out to them (in my best English) that Button was leading. They went very quiet when M Schumacher packed up.

What an eventful race and a great result for Jenson and Honda, I was beginning to think it would never happen for them.

Every time I get more points than anyone else (and this races' points were just the left-overs from the chickens), Rob G gets the same - it's really uncanny and I've never met the guy ! But Rob is only a badly taken corner away from me - I must focus on the bad guy in front !

Great race and despite losing loads of points (what did I say about the Hondas ?), I'm so happy for them and Button - if each season was open for at least 4 and maybe more teams to win the championship, it'd be much more worth watching !

Shouldn't there be a recount ? Heidfeld was disqualified so the standings have changed !

Haven't seen or heard anything on this one, so need more info. :conf2:
The ITV F1 site has nothing on it that I can find...
Appeal lodged so I will look into it and report ASAP.

In the meantime, does anyone have any info on this...Or is it another one of Sean's little schemes:devil:

...if so objection sustained!!!:D :D

Kubica disqualified, Schumacher scores

06 August 2006

Robert Kubica has been disqualified from the results of the Hungarian Grand Prix after his BMW Sauber was found to be underweight following the race. Kubica had finished seventh on his Formula One debut.
Stewards praised the "assistance and cooperation" they received from the BMW Sauber team, who proved that Kubica’s car was inadvertently 2 kilograms below the minimum requirement because of "excessive and unexpected tyre wear (and therefore weight loss) through continued use of wet-weather tyres in comparison to the accustomed and anticipated rate of wear of dry tyres."
The stewards nevertheless had no choice but to exclude the car as it did not comply with Article 4.1 of the Technical Regulations. BMW Sauber did not contest the decision. It means Felipe Massa moves up to seventh place, with Michael Schumacher now classified eighth, despite not finishing the race.
The point Schumacher scores means he is now just ten behind Fernando Alonso in the drivers’ championship standings, while Ferrari are only seven behind Renault in the race for the constructors’ crown.

Not Heidfeld - sorry but still......

QED !

OK Sean..Thanks for the (revised) positions..
I will amend the s/s and forward to you ASAP.
Has anyone got any problems with a revised result??....
