Z Roof Lining - Fit How?

Whats the trick to fitting a new roof lining
I had a go today but after faffing about and getting no where I eventually gave up n moved onto the suspension instead (well I hadto do something lol)
The lining kit I have seems to be bigger then the area it covers which seems odd?
I took it they would be precut to size without the need for trimming?
Does that sound correct or do they need trimming to fit
Whats the best place to start, frt or rear edge of the roof?

Have you removed all the other trim that flanks the roof lining? When I refitted mine it looks bigger than the gap but that's because it goes under the metal at the edges. I used 3M spray glue to fit it too. It can be slid under the edges then.

Hopefully someone will have some better info though, I've only done one and somebody here must have done loads....

I've left the oe side trims in place as they are still fitted well and look awkward to retro fit afterwards?
Maybe this is where im going wrong, but I can see a fair size gap the lining should slide into?

Yep that did the trick
Wouldn't have thought they would matter but with them out the way the lining could be slid under easier
Fitted the new matching side trims afterwards so it now looks ok for a first attempt lol :)
