Z Club Drag Challenge

I think Suzy has already published these elsewhere, but for the sake of keeping them all together (subject to change without notice, etc. ):

Dates for Drag Race Challenge proposed as follows (I have to fit these around the HSCC and SEZ stuff!):

Round 1 4th April - standard RWYB day
Round 2 3rd May - standard RWYB day
Round 3 23rd May - standard RWYB day
Round 4 10th July (Saturday) - Street Machine Street Racer day
Round 5 15th August - standard RWYB day
Rain-off reserve day 19th Sept - standard RWYB day
Round 6 10th Oct - Japanese Performance Show

I'm also proposing that we attend, with extended Club display, the Jap Show weekend on 19th/20th June. This will not be a round of the Z Club Challenge, but will hopefully encourage some other members to attend and perhaps get interested in the race scene after displaying at this event. All dates at Santa Pod Raceway, Northamptonshire. 01277 374201 for details.

Not sure whether anyone will want to organise events at Crail Raceway for Scottish members, but we did have three dates last year. Anyone in Scotland like to take this on?

Sorry - drag racing so traditional in the Club I assume we all know everything. All dates are at Santa Pod Raceway, Northamptonshire (just north-east of the west country).

And Tony - don't forget all the HSCC dates, the Japanese Car Shows and the monthly SEZ. Better to plot which two weekends might be available for the wife rather than work out the rest......

hi,
It may be worth going along to these Drag events just to watch pmac in his newly aquired Z31 turbo attempting to beat some of the regulars!!:D

If pmac attends in his Z31 AND runs it down the track, it will be the first turbo to do so for many years. Are you going to let him walk away with the trophy for this class?

I have just a few minor issues to sort out before lift off!
No1. What is the sequence of dem funny lights??
No2. How far is it to the finish??
No3. How do you know when you're at the finish? I didnt see any chequered flag?

How VERY Funny!
Well Ive just got an MOT on the banger and arranged some classic insurance with the nice people at RH Specialist car division.
On 1st of april I will pop into the post office and get 6 months worth of road tax (not forgetting to collect my pension at the same time.)
doesnt give me many days to learn how to drive the beast but WTF i'll just learn on the way to Santa Pod on the Sunday morning!
Have a nice day at Ikea and the garden centre, the rest of you.

Hi,
Floor that throttle, spool up that turbo and find a few sideways friendly roundabouts on the way!:D
I might even bring my Z31 to one of these challenges and then we could have our own z31 class!
Cheerz,

then we could have our own z31 class!

You already do, it's just that no-one has bothered to compete in it for the last two years! Are you going to let pmac have the trophy all to himself uncontested?????

Separate classes available for turbo and non-turbo, plus modified Z31.
