What's this ?

I found it (in my hand) under the battery tray (LHD car) and it's connected where you see the white arrow !

Please, what is it, what does it do ?

it looks like a fuel injection fuel regulator, a better pic from the top may help a bit more

That looks like a motor for the washer bottle, what you have in your hand is most likely the connection which should be plugged into the front wash wipe.

The more I look at it the more it looks like a "T" piece from a vacum pipe, look for the other end that has the same diameter pipe but not blanked off.

Ok I had another look I thought your arrow was pointing at the motor below, but it looks like its pointing to that FPR type thing, I think grolls is on the right track. Vacuum pipe of some sort.

A photo of the 'T' piece and what looks to be the same diametre tubing and a second photo showing where the tubing goes through the bulkhead.

I can't find a third pice to connect up to the 'T' piece !

At the same time, any suggestions for topping up the fluid in the reservoir in the third photo please ?

Could this be the missing vacuum source for your heater controls?? If you remember, I looked at this for Steve before you bought the car... If so, then the third leg may need to be connected to a manifold spigot somewhere.

Re. power steering reservoir - remove cap and use built-in mini dipstick as a guide to level (different hot and cold). Use ATF - as per auto gearbox.

Well, here is where I think where the missing tube fits ?

And where the two tubes that leave it fit onto the manifold !

Next question is....can you get me a tube and some of the retention clips to hold them onto the spigots please ?

I've found your book which'll be in the post this week to you ! Excuses for the delay and thanks !

I think what you are looking at is a little motor that continues to develop vacuum when manifold vacuum drops. Pipe is just standard vacuum hose - motor factor stuff rather than Nissan OEM. Clips not entirely necessary if correct push fit on spigots...

Thanks !

You know what it's like getting anything 'different' out here - please, can you supply or not ? OEM or other !

I'll see what I can do...can you measure the ID of the vacuum hose for me? And approx. what length required...?
