I think education is great in some respects, but I think 50% of success is determination, 25% common sense and 25% not being thick.

Education is rubbish... its great if you like doing things on other peoples terms and passing exams based around their set standards etc... but in the real world people aren't like that...

I've got 11 gcse's, 1 a level, 1 gnvq and a degree... I did this by learning how to pass exams, not by learning anything useful.

Where I learned things is from working, on real life projects.

To be honest, I wasted all my time at school, college and uni. Just did enough to pass everything, now I have these little bits of paper they mean nothing.

My portfolio gets me more work than any of these bits of paper. If someone can see you can do a job, then they're going to hire you. Degrees mean nothing these days.

Uni was only good for getting off my face and shagging around, thats all. I learned how to be an alcoholic there... :)

Think yourself lucky you're not in as much student loan debt as the rest of us... you could buy a hell of a lot of trollops for that kind of cash... they probably wouldn't be filthy young nubile students... but I digress... ;)

I concurr with what Mark said, drugs sex beer rock and roll (well drum and bass in Bournemouth) and being skint.

I think the degree is a nice stepping stone and can get you in higher, but if your a thick sod you'll go no where and if you can apply yourself even if you start as tea boy you'll get somewhere.

The education system is flawed, like Mark said I'm an expert at passing exams now (10 GCSE, AGNVQ, Hons Deg) but I learnt more in my one year of industry that I did in all my education.

Oh I miss Bournemouth now, there are no women in Somerset :( Well there are but they mainly walk sideways like crabs, have webbed feet, bark at a full moon and have hairy palms.
