Been meaning to ask for a while, i took my passenger seat out the other weekend. Had a laugh at the surface rust then carelessly prodded the join between rear of the floor pan and where it angles up to the boot floor. Hmmm, strangely squidgey. Bit of screwdriver action later and I'd pulled out a nice lump of masticky stuff that some kind person had used to block the cars natural bum ventilation system. So I need to make up some angled bit of metal and weld it on - helped all the more by the end of the frame rail being in the way of course! For some reason 18g rings a bell, but maybe 16g or 20g, I dunno, will no doubt be a fun job though 
Shame I'm not in the position yet to slap new floors and rails in, on day, err, year!
