Water getting in car

I have a problem with water getting in drivers footwell has anyone had this problem ? My car is a zx 31 targra 1989 i have sat in the car in a heavy down poor and nothing came in through the roof glass seals. I hope members can point me in the right direction whare else to look. Also i am looking for a fuse box cover for drivers side footwell Thanks Ray

Have seen water in other cars footwells that came through the battery housing being rotted away. Is your battery near the point of ingress?

They do have a tendency to leak from around the top of the windows/t/tops, behind the trims. Think there is a drainage pipe behind the interior A pillar panel. Check also if the leak is coming down the inside of the footwell on the passenger side, as helpfully, the engine control unit is sat behind the panel and in the line of fire of water getting in. The drivers side is equally at risk with the fuse box and other control box located there.
