Watanabe RS-8 spoke

The Watanabe RS-8 spokes wheels are they 1 piece or a split rim the only pictures i have seen are on cars not close up in detail, also been on the Watanabe web site in Japan wheels done in 2 colours black / grey but could not work out why the colour differance 1 colour race model / 1 colour for the streets

but they are showing the aluminium in the silver, with the magnesium shown in gunmetal... although there are numerous finishes available

I just took a set apart to repaint. If you need, I could shoot some pix for you to look at. They are two peice wheel. The centers ring like they are indeed forged too !

RS-8 is horrible. Please don't fall in love with it.

Lose your heart to the one-piece magnesium 'Hachi-Spo' ( please ).

yes but magnesium sounds very expensive ? love the polished lip on them than the one-piece one colour, why not the RS-8 ? some picture differance please magnesium v RS-8

All the information and pictures are on the site if you look carefully. So are all the prices for the different sizes, paint finishes and polishing options.

Personally I don't think the 'RS-8' ( as a mid-1980s design ) suits the S30-series Z - but that's just a matter of opinion.

on the picture that was posted up "whats my colour" i asked the question what wheels are on this car are they "RS-8 Watanabe" as getting confused thanks

Dave, are you sure that you are not getting mixed up with the name of one design of wheel ( 'RS-8' ) and the name of the company ( 'R.S. Watanabe' = 'Racing Service Watanabe' )?

When you asked about the wheels on the Miya san's car, I told you they were 'R.S. Watanabe' 8-spokes, not 'RS-8s'.......

OK got my nickers in a twist so i want to be looking for a set of "R S Watanabe 8-spoke" not a set RS-8 wananabe wheels (did you have a look in your garage alan)

I've got these, which are not being used at the moment:

2pcs 8.5J x 14 'R' Type ( magnesium )

2pcs 11J x 14 'R' Type ( magnesium )

Wouldn't want to sell them cheap though......
