Having been a Manga fan ever since I was little (early Marine Boy started me off) I have wanted to see Wangan Midnight for a while but never managed to find a copy of the film. As an art form you can love or hate Manga, dismiss it as nonsense or look upon it as genius in art, either way you love it or hate it.

I found this link over on HybridZ and thought any other saddo like me that likes Manga cartoons might like to see it :D

I have recently started learning to draw manga, I was always a transformers kid and when you look back at the movie it has the same sound effects and drawing style for the robots. They I got into Superdimensional Fortress Macross (what a name!).

If you want a dvd get Ghost in the Shell, wonderful visuals for a 20yr old dvd!

Hey just watched that vid, awesome! Makes me want to sod the v8 dream and bung a Skyline turbo monster engine in an S30 instead :) I'll be adding that to my Christmas list although I cannot find it anywhere like you say.

There is a fairly sinister film called Urotsukidoji that I like - Japanese demons seem to be pretty creepy I have to say ! The Tartan Asia Extreme videos are good too - sinister, creepy and somewhat disturbing at times.

Does anyone know whether the Wangan Midnight cartoon was a film or a TV series ? If so where can a copy be sourced ?
