uk spec update

Isn't there something missing? LOL :D

Seriously though, although this is a good summary, the 260z info is not accurate - as I remember the little plaque in my 260 read 164hp SAE, not 139, or whatever that site quotes.

I was pretty sure the 280zx was 140hp also .. but I could be wrong.

I suspect this may be due to US legislation? But since you've specifically put UK spec, I thought I'd mention it.

Looks like we could do with a summary like this - that's what I was aiming for with my templates that I never got round to finishing, but could re-commence with this as a basis ...

"Hi, Steve, long time no hear from Ya" I miss our phone chats of the past and am "Wishing You Well" from across the pond.

Related to the subject of this thread I'd like to mention that I have been slowing working on my own version and ambitious project of publishing not just a bare bones list of basic model specs, but also a rather ambitious and expanded photo and fact display that will eventually feature all Nissan published OEM specifications per model and year of every Z car model (non US as well), a rather large compilation of magazine performance test results dating back to the early 70's, compiled by motorsport writer, Donn Vickrey and the highest quality photo documentation obtainable of every stock and customize model referenced, showcased in several web based formats that are sure to entertain, maybe even surprise, much of the Z community world wide.

Time & energy to work on this project, one of many that I am currently working on, is in short supply, but I hope to make steady progress in the next year. To review some of the sample spec pages and test photo layouts now up for viewing everyone at this forum is invited to visit the following links at my ZPARTS.COM to get an idea where I am headed with this ambitious display project.

http://zparts.com/indexes/featproj_index.html (be sure to click on orange 240Z thumbnail image to see one unique display format planned)
http://zparts.com/showcase/zcarstats/pages/zcarstat_intro1.html This page lists all the stock and custom models that I now have published performance test stats for. Very extensive amount of info never before published on the internet to my awareness.
http://zparts.com/showcase/zcarstats/pages/70_96proddata1.html Nissan's published production data up to 1993. Will eventually include all models up to current model year. Be sure to Click on links under "Photo" column to see quality of photography being aimed at. Not all models in photos are in original OEM stock form, but that will be addressed more accurately as project moves along and I obtain or take better photos.

NOTE: it is difficult for me to obtain quality photos of European and non US based Z cars that are 100% or close to, in stock form and colors. I am always looking for European owners and car enthusiasts that have above average photographic skills that could assist me in taking quality photos of exceptional stock and customized Z cars in their areas of the world. If interested please contact me at photos@zparts.com

Lastly, if you are new to the Z car world or at least the US based online Z community, I'd like to invite you to stop by my well known and popular website, ZPARTS.COM, for a look around. Apart from having tons of quality used parts for sale, my website now offers a wide range of Z car related tech articles, tech photos, customizing idea and project in progress showcases. Also several displays covering the huge West Coast Z Car National show held every April in Southern California. Since it's first inception in 1998, my site has now grown to house over 1500 html pages and 5000 quality Z car photos and illustrations.

Gotta add a shameless plug for the current Winter issue of Sport Z Magazine as well. The editor contacted me to do the latest cover photo. My photo of Lonnie Louie's razzle dazzle looking candy red maroon 1970 240Z can be seen on the cover of the current issue. btw, if any of you do not have a subscription you can get one at www.sportzmagazine.com or buy single issues from either their website or mine.

OK, end of long post. All my best to all of you Z enthusiast "across the pond" and all the many European based fans of my website that I hear from regularly.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all, as well.
