The 7th round of the British Historic Championship, the Tour of Flanders is on this coming weekend.
Sadly, there will be no British Z's taking part.
Belgian driver Miguel Casier is the only 240Z on the entry list.

Entry fee for the event is usually around £350 to £400.

With all of the other expenses, fuel, B & B, food etc we reckon each rally costs us about £800. Of course, that is before we buy any tyres or do any damage to the car.

The front runners, with more professional help, probably budget between £2000 and £3000 per rally, of which there are 9 in the British Championship. Events like the Manx and Flanders are a lot more expensive and also need more time of work for travel and recce.

Living in the deep south, we usually need at least one day off work for a regular forest rally, two for the Welsh and a week for the Manx!

Our service crews pay their own way, but we usually try to buy dinner and/or some beer. They do it for fun! The British Championship is getting more and more professional with teams like Tuthill (Porsche) and Historic Rallysport (Ford) very much in evidence.

There are people out there spending a lot of money, which is OK if you have got it! We haven't but we are having a lot of fun!
