THE ONLY THING THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICER THAN SKIDDELL WHIPPING THE 350 WOULD BE A 260 2+2 DOING IT...........LOL

Nice to see some new spectators today!!!!
Those of us running had a frustrating morning due to an organizational f*** up that allowed Saturdays rained off pro drag cars to hog the track on our rwyb day. A lot of very angry rwyb drivers!! Several complained to the race director, who had several changes of plan!!! Eventually late afternoon in almost ideal conditions we got some clear runs in(those of us left anyway)
I did a personal best today of 15.48 at 90.71 mph. Well chuffed with that!
Also did 3 runs "head to head" with the Podmeister himself, MrF who gave his Z32 slicktop a run today.
Tony C has got at least one on video clip, which should be available to view soon.

I know its off topic, but, seeing Mr Fs slick top today just reminded me wot a drop dead gorgeous motor it is! Clearly no one on this forum knows the slightest thing about these rare little motors as it is still for sale!!
Several other members had good runs/times, but i'll leave it up to them to give you the details!
Also today was the first sub 13 sec run by a 300ZX forum member. Will there be more??? Probably
Come along to the mega Jap show run in June to find out.

Well, after a right royal organisation fook up as Pete as said, the day turned out quite well, I got a new PB of 13.044 @108.92 Soooooooooooo close to a 12 sec quarter!! I did do one more run and got a better terminal speed but fluffed the start and got a huge wheelspin of the line, but still did a 13.20 @ 109.20.

Just need to play with the profec E a little bit more and 12.??? here i come!

Great company as per usual :D

Thanks to Mike for sorting out a truely great event again!! Looking forward to the 18/19th June already.

The Rutland express

What did Skiddell run and how did it compare with car before ITB's & NISMO header
That will be 14.52 seconds with a terminal of 97.58 mph:eek: compared with my pb last year (with triples on a warm 2.8) of 15.025 and 91.28 mph

Still more to come if I can get the tyres and launch right, we should hopefully by the end of the season see 14.3 (60 ft time says I am still slow off the mark compared with last year)

Sadly the only thing that beat me was a mini -- which had a toyota V8 in it and nitros which ran 12.3 @ 109 mph

Saw a supercharged 300 HP Ariel Atom run a 11.9 -- nice chap who owned it -- seemed to have an endless pot of money with which to play with as well after 2 runs he was already planning nitrous

Best victory had to be the win over the Cosworth powered Capri Muhahahaha

oh i forgot the fasted z so far this year is a tt 2+2 :p :p :p
:Dand need i say, that had a forged engine, GReddy Intercoolers, Nismo 555 injectors, GReddy emanage, Dual pop induction, mongoose exhaust with de-cat and running 17psi, yadda yadda yadda!

And it was a whole 0.055 faster than me in my stock engined SWB slicktop TT, Albeit with bolt-on mods only! oh and a fatty with one good leg driving it. and my terminal speed was 1.1 mph faster than his

:p :p :p Right back at yer!! LMAO

proof in the pud......actions speak.......cant wait for the next round:D

still, its nice to see a 2+2 is the fastest car to date:D

i know its probably the extra weight and the chasis twisting due to the t tops thats giving him better traction:p

it was nice to see faces to the names!

I met him last Thursday at Jon's garage, he did seem like a nice chap - was he wearing his Biggles goggles ?

He's probably a bit dissapointed with an 11.9, he said it should do 10's (not on Yokohama A539's it won't I thought to myself). Still an impressive machine tough.

And on Sunday man rested and took his repast at the shrine known only as "The Pod".

Verily there appeared unto the crowd many of these :

Resplendent were these chariots, adorned with their fine paintwork and veritable bling. Indeed it came to pass that an unknown road warrior arrived in the very latest and supposedly finest of chariots :

The undisputed Lord of The Pod, Sir Michael of Feeney approached the unknown road warrior with an invitation to dine, socialise and join the wayward band of merry petrolheads known only as the Z Club Posse. Indignantly the newcomer snubbed Lord Michael and did not deign to speak let alone dine and be sociable. This did not please Lord Michael who called for reinforcement from the only true original charioteer of the day, Sir Skiddell of Throttlebodies :

Lord Michael of Feeney approached Sir Skiddell of Throttlebodies and imparted his tale of woe and rejection by the unknown road warrior and beseeched Sir Skiddell "Go forth Sir Skiddell and lay spank upon the arse of the unknown road warrior. Show him verily who is true warrior of the strip".
Without delay Sir Skiddell lined up for the joust with the unknown road warrior and indeed layed spank upon his arse in true biblical proportions. It was recorded for posterity in the format known as mpeg to be handed down from father to son and to become the stuff that legends are made of.

If any one of the merry band can give instruction on how to post and display the format known as mpeg then the truth will be there for all to see. The light will shine, epiphany will be upon us and we will all be witness to the spanking of a pious ingrate by our very own Sir Skiddell.

I await instruction on how to post said mpeg and will finish the tale with proof ! :D

And on Sunday man rested and took his repast at the shrine known only as "The Pod".
And it is ordained in the scriptures that the faithfull will journey again at the Temple and will gather round our Lord of the Pod once more to feast on his words of wisdom. On Sun jun 19.
And to his right , but gathered a respectable distance away, will be that elite band of charioteers who are priveleged to do battle against the forces of Tempus, in their fearsome "slick top" chariots.
And many will come to remember Sun May 22 as the last day in this time calender that Lord Michael himself drove his veritable "slick top Z32" As it is feared that Lord Michael is soon to appoint a new driver for his Z32 chariot.:(

And so I commend unto you all to give up worship of the evil Ikea God on Sunday Jun 19, and dally not in the Centres for Gardeners. But voyage further afield and worship with the faitful in the Temple of Pod.
Verily, travel in a respectful manner, and be wary at all times during the journey of chariots with blue flashing lights and loud sirens.

shouldn't you have put "in their slower than the 2+2 chariots?":D

looks like the pressure is on the slick top boys to go out and prove a point, was nice to see that 2+2 owner spent his money on go faster goodies instead of bucket loads of MER and AUTOSOL! did i hear right that that firkin fast 2+2 hasn't even been mapped yet?....if thats right, i can see a 2+2 winning all year!

just to add insult to injury, did i see some suit cases and camping gear in the back? take them out and thats 1/2 second faster...must have weighed 200lb:D
