Tappy Lifter

Hi

I have a tappy lifter on the near side bank, i have removed and cleaned them all but it still there. Fine on idle but when reving the engine the tapping oocurs. Just wondering if there is a way of identifying which lifter is the culprit so i can replace the check valve or am i wasting my time locating the one and replacing them all.
Its running on clean castrol 10w40 semi synthetic. Is there a better oil to run on, perhaps a diesel oil for 500 miles to clean out then a good oil after.
Where can i get new check valves and how much if i need to replace them all?

Thanks

Karl

I have found our Millers 5W-40 synthetic XFS works well in quietening down lifters after running old or poor oil, but couldn't guarantee it as a replacement for good clean oil that you seem to be running.
I can get a good price on Z31 lifters if you are prepared to wait for them to come from our US suppliers with the next batch order...
