This is the metal shield attached to the passenger side rear inner fender well and protects from rock damage to the fuel tank. This one is orange in color.

I can't remember if mine came with one of these - do you have a picture of one installed? Tried Google but couldn't turn anything up.
 
Thanks! Might have to check the parts in the loft - definitely not still attached to the car :D
