I finally started some rust repairs, and with it praying that the PO did a decent job.
I started on the floorpans, and subsequently removing the "bitumen" layer with a shizzle (damn what **** work)
I did know there were problems in the middle of the floorpans, but as usual, some extra rust started showing. However, the rails, middle console seem fine. There is some rust at the beginning of the pans (where your feet normally are). I did find that the PO noticed rust on the left floorpan, and he just welded a plate below the bad plate.. Needless to say the rust spread to the new plate as well.
Small question, what do you guys put on the bare metal for the inside. I thought about putting iron minium on the bare metal And then some good "made to cut" carpet thats moisture resistant.
